All right--so I haven't flipped the switch
to "off". Phil Shaphard of Moody Audio was kind
enough to send photos, and Dave Daily of
The
Ranger Bill Club didn't have
space on his site to publish them. So I've
posted those photos here. Since I really don't
have much to add these days, Dave will simply
link to the photos.
If you haven't noticed, all links to Ranger Bill
episodes are gone. I even contacted Archive.org
to remove all the episodes I uploaded per the
copyright restrictions of MBN. However, you can
now purchase the episodes from moodyaudio.com,
and I think the price is pretty reasonable.
Looks like you get 50 episodes on a CD in MP3
format for $29, or you can buy one episode at a
time for download at $1.95 each (the $29 deal is
far better--only 58 cents an episode that way).
Mr. Shaphard also tells me that we may see Sailor
Sam on Moody Audio in the near future. I'm
looking forward to seeing these episodes.
If you notice, there are only about 200 episodes
listed on Moody Audio, and Dave and I have
identified 217 episodes as having been aired. In
time, I plan to purchase these episodes (nothing
like having copies from the original master
tapes) and identify which episodes are missing
from Moody Audio. I'll let Dave Daily know which
these are, and I'll try to find reasons why Moody
does not have them available, although Mr.
Shaphard did provide possible explanations
(though not specifics--I don't think he was
really certain himself). It may become apparent
to me once I've identified which episodes are
missing.
Looking at the list on Moody Audio, it looks like
the first Ranger Bill episode may be one of the
missing episodes.
I asked Mr. Shaphard about the episode we
nicknamed "The Ghost Organ", but he couldn't link
it to one of the existing episodes. Maybe I'll
have better luck once I purchase all the
episodes. Just purchased CD #1, so I'll be
getting started on it shortly.
Finally, Dave and I are trying to talk Mr.
Shaphard into scanning in the scripts to the
episodes so that we can publish them for all to
see. They are in a fragile state, so we may be
lucky to only see a page or two from them, but it
sounds like they have the scripts to nearly all
episodes.
